Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good things: Graft in our hearts the love of your Name; increase in us true religion; nourish us with all goodness; and bring forth in us the fruit of good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Discretionary Fund Reminder – next Sunday, September 6, the first Sunday of the month, the loose offering is set aside for the Parish Discretionary Fund.  These funds are used to help those in our community less fortunate than we are.  Checks may also be made out to St. Paul’s with ‘discretionary fund’ on the memo line at any time during the month.  Please be as generous as possible.

Laying on of Hands is offered on the first Sunday of every month as part of the Healing ministries of this parish. Please gather at the Baptismal Font (just as you entered the church) immediately after you have received communion. September 6th is the next opportunity for laying on of hands.

Alleluia Golf Tournament Sept 12th
Now is the time to be putting together one or more foursomes for participation in the annual Alleluia Golf Tournament at Basin Harbor Resort just outside of Vergennes. The Diocese of Vermont website has Registration forms. We've had a team each year and represented St. Paul's very well.  Let's keep it up.

Welcome Back Sunday!
Sunday, September 13 is Welcome Back Sunday – We will return to two worship opportunities at 8 and 10. At both the 8 and the 10 we will have a backpack and ‘anything you need to make it through the week’ blessing. We will also commission our Sunday School children and teachers for another year. At 9 AM that morning we will share breakfast together.

Celebration of New Ministry – Mark your calendars! On Friday, October 16, we will welcome the Rt. Rev. Thomas C. Ely, Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Vermont, clergy from around the diocese, as well area clergy and community members as we celebrate our new ministry together as the Parish of St. Paul’s. This is a fun, festive evening of wonderful liturgy and fellowship. Don’t miss it! If you would like to be a part of the planning for this event, please speak to Dede Mackie, Jon Chaffee or Scott Neal.

Brookside Nursing Home Church Services – Please join us! - On the second Sunday of each month (September through June) St. Paul's Church leads a worship service of music, scripture and Holy Communion at Brookside Nursing Home from 2-2:30 PM.  If you would like to join Cindy and Holly for this important ministry or if you have questions about this service, please contact Holly.

Knit and Purl Fellowship - The Knit and Purl Fellowship welcomes men, children and woman who have a hand craft they enjoy or who would like to learn a hand craft. Beginning September 7th, we will be meeting at the St. Paul's Parish House 6:30 PM. We meet the 1st and 3rd week of the month. All are welcome!

Listen Community Dinner – We need your help. Our fifth of six dinners in 2015 will be on Monday, September 21.  The will be serving as the main course chicken vegetable casserole and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. You are welcome to use your own casserole recipe or you may contact Holly to get a recipe. We plan to serve approximately one hundred and ten meals. There is still room to sign-up (on the Parish Hall bulletin board) for cooking, baking and volunteering for this important community meal. The November 16th meal will be planned by the Barwood Family.

Holiday Bazaar
Please mark your calendars! November 14th will be our "Holiday Bazaar". I will be checking in with you as to what part you will play. Thank you, Jill Devins
