About our worship during Lent
This Lent we are invited to recall the origins of our worship and the meaning of the actions, prayers and symbols of the Eucharist. With Lent 3 we will expand from a simple service to our usual service, incorporating just a few elements from Taize and Iona worship. Also on Lent 3, the Altar Guild will ‘dress’ the sanctuary as the service opens, so that all may appreciate the service they give so graciously. Becoming More Missional - Sat, March 7th St Paul’s Parish Hall
Please view Bishop Ely’s video invitation to a short meeting 10am Sat March 7 at St. Paul's to talk with the Bishop about "Becoming More Missional": More information can be found at Church Hall Meetings on DioVermont.org It is important to be part of the conversation about where the VT church is going. After our Sunday 10 o'clock service on March 8, we will also hold a short meeting to convey what was discussed on Sat., to reflect on the 3 presentations we heard during Feb. and to raise the question: "What about support for the outreach we each do in our daily occupations?"

Aging with grace, purpose, and integrity is both a challenge and an opportunity for those of us transitioning into—or already “inside”—the Third Act of our lives. Episcopal Relief and Development Ingathering Sunday March 15th
An alert to St. Paul's members--it's time once again for the annual ingathering for Episcopal Relief and Development which will be held on March 15. This year is special as we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of this organization, whose special slogan is “Healing a Hurting World". Most of you know that ERD responds to disasters (our diocese received a grant after Hurricane Irene) but it also works with our churches and others worldwide to alleviate hunger and poverty. Those alternative gifts, "Gifts for Life", which we give during Advent are an example of this part of its ministry. Please give generously on March 15th, making out your check to St. Paul's with "ERD" on the memo line.

Listen Community Dinner March 16th
Please check the posted sign-up sheet on the Parish Hall bulletin board. We need more casseroles and gingerbread - 12 pans of each, each pan making 10 servings. Dishes can be brought to church March 15th or to the Listen Center March 16th, 3-4 P.M. Thank you for helping us feed our neighbors.

Good Neighbor Health Clinic Dinner March 16th
Once a month, St. Paul’s hosts dinner for the staff at the Good Neighbor Health Clinic. One of our parishioners prepares and delivers a full meal for 8 people. The next date that we will be hosting is March 16th. This is a great opportunity to support the Clinic staff as they give their time to help others.

Dinners for help post-surgery
Mary Booth Benton will have hip surgery March 24 and will be returning home Thursday 26th. Benny will be staying at the VA for a week. Mary would appreciate meals of salads, soups, casseroles, and desserts with servings being enough for two days. Planned meals will be delivered March 26th, 28th, 30th, April 1st and 3rd. If you are able to prepare a meal for Mary, please contact Holly 802 295 9095. Thank you for your help, Holly
