Discretionary Fund Reminder – Funds are low and need is high. These funds are used to help those in our community less fortunate than we are. Checks may also be made out to St. Paul’s with ‘discretionary fund’ on the memo line at any time during the month. Please be as generous as possible.
Laying on of Hands – Those wishing to receive laying on our hands this morning please gather at the Baptismal Font (just as you entered the church) immediately after you have received communion.
Blessing of the Animals - October 4 during 10 AM worship – We will be blessing our pets on Sunday, October 4 during our 10 AM worship. Please feel free to invite your friends and neighbors to this fun event.
Celebration of New Ministry – Mark your calendars! On Friday, October 16, we will welcome the Rt. Rev. Thomas C. Ely, Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Vermont, clergy from around the diocese, as well area clergy and community members as we celebrate our shared ministry together as the Parish of St. Paul’s. This is a fun, festive evening of wonderful liturgy and fellowship. Don’t miss it!
Reception following the Celebration of New Ministry on October 16 in the evening. We are planning the dessert reception and will put up a signup sheet by Sunday. Needed will be finger-type desserts (bars, cookies, small cupcakes), fruit chunks and punch ingredients. Also would like 2-3 people to help serve and cleanup. Caring Ministry Meeting - Our next meeting will be Oct. 18th, 11:30 in church chapel. We welcome new members to join us. I you would like to be part of Healing, Prayer, or Pastoral Care Ministries, please join us in the 18th.
Office Volunteers needed – Can you spare 30-45 minutes a couple of times a month? We are looking for sorters, folders and assemblers for Sunday’s Bulletins. For more information please speak to Scott.
St. Paul's Fun Google Group - We have a google group that gives parishioners a way to invite others to come together for a fun activity. For example, if there's a movie that you'd like to see, a hike you'd like to go on, or any kind of fun event you would like company to, this is the place to put out the word. These activities build our connection with one another and strengthen our community! Email Jill Fischer at jill@positivecouples.com to be added to this list.
Listen Community Dinner – November 16th will be the next and last Listen Community Dinner for 2015. We have had wonderful meals to serve 90-100 people and we thank each of you who have contributed to these dinners. Becky, Justin, Madison, Joseph, and Morgan Barwood will be planning the menu and hang up the sign-up sheet. We thank the Barwood family for taking on this leadership with help and support from our congregation.

Brookside Nursing Home Church Services – Please join us! - The second Sunday of each month, St. Paul's Church leads a worship service of music, scripture and Holy Communion at Brookside Nursing Home from 2-2:30 PM. If you would like to join Scott, Cindy and Holly for this important ministry or if you have questions about this service, please contact Holly.
Knit and Purl Fellowship - Meets 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at the Parish House, 6:30. Anyone who does any kind of handwork are welcome. We will be continue making things to sell for the Holiday Bazaar and on individual projects.
