Listen Community Dinner - Thank you to everyone who helped and contributed to March 19th Listen Community Dinner. More Parishioners involved the better when we provide nourishing meals for our neighbors. St. Paul's Church serves meals six times a year, one meal every other month. These are the remaining 2018 Listen Community Dinners Dates: May 14th, July 16th, September 17th, and November 19th (meal will be planned and organized by Justin, Becky, Morgan, Joseph, and Madison Barwood)

March 24 – St. Paul’s Altar Guild Brass Polishing – 9 AM - This Saturday St. Paul’s Altar Guild and other friends will be meeting at church to polish, shine and clean to get ready for Holy Week and Easter. As the old saying goes "many hands make light work”, we would love to have help if you are able to spare a couple of hours. Please join us this Saturday. March 25 - Pysanky – Ukrainian Easter Eggs Workshop – Sunday – 1 - 4 PM in the parish Hall - A workshop for making pysanky – wax-resist dyed eggs – will be offered 1-4pm Sunday March 25th in the Parish Hall. Please RSVP to Pam Hanson pamela.r.hanson@comcast.net so that we can purchase enough eggs. You don’t need to bring anything, but wear older clothes in case of any spills or splatters. Children over the age of 8 may attend if an adult accompanies them to assist them. Bring a bag lunch if coffee hour refreshments won’t carry you through the afternoon. A small donation to cover the cost of materials would be appreciated.

April 7 - Save The Date – Immigration 101 - Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Kilton Library 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Eva Castillo, an immigration attorney, will give a presentation on the legalities affiliated with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE). What procedures are employed when working with the immigrants.....and more. For more information, contact Sally McFarlin.
April 14 - The Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross (SCHC) - St. Michaels’s Church, Brattleboro – 10 – 2, with a meet and great at 9:30. The Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross is a diverse group of more than 800 women, both laywomen and clergy, single and partnered. Founded in 1884 by Emily Malbone Morgan in the United States, the Society welcomes women from any church with whom the Episcopal Church is in communion: the Anglican Communion, the Moravian Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ECLA). The topic of their meeting will be Advocacy. Bring thanksgivings and prayers to offer up. Soul and salad will be provided for lunch. April 20-21 – Women’s Retreat – Save The Date! The next Women’s Retreat is happening on April 20-21. All interested women are invited to the first planning meeting on Sunday, February 11th, after church in the Parish House. There will be soup, bread, and conversation to share ideas about this special event.
June 2 - Bargain Bin – No Books this year! – The Bargain Bin Committee agreed to not sell books, CD's, records, etc. at this year’s Bargain Bin. We are recommending books, etc., be taken to Five College Book Sale (April 21 and 22) at Lebanon High School. Books are being collected at Staples Plaza at the old empty Lindt Chocolate Store. Small numbers of books can also be taken to Kelton Library, Howe Library, and the COOP. Ride Ministry - Caring Ministries is beginning a Ride Ministry to anyone needing a ride to services, other appointments, and rides to nighttime services. We are looking for 4-5 people willing to be drivers in our Ride Ministry. Anyone who needs a ride, please call Holly Hall 802-295-9095.

How: Please sign up to provide a meal, either on your own, or as a team with others!

Contemplative Prayer and Meditation- is an opportunity to come into our Sanctuary to pray and meditate 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month, 5:30-6:30. If you cannot get to the Sanctuary, take quiet time wherever you are between 5:30-6:30. Family members, friends and neighbors are welcome. The door will be unlocked, and heat will be turned up on March 7th and 21st, April 4th and 18th, May 2nd and 16th. For more information, please see Holly Hall.

The Peace: It is fine if you choose a friendly wave or bow with hand clasped instead of a handshake as a sign of peace.
Holy Communion: I also remind you that “since we understand that Christ is fully present in both the bread and wine, you may choose to refrain from receiving the wine until the flu season has passed.” (Thomas Mousin, ENS, February 4 2018) Additional Information: Drinking from the cup is more sanitary than dipping you bread (intinction). Both the wine (fortified) and the silver cup have purifying affects and reduce or eliminate germs.

February 18 – Episcopal Retreat and Development Ingathering (ER D) – the loose offering and checks with ER D in the memo will go to Episcopal Relief and Development. Episcopalians, friends and supporters are invited to observe Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday on the first Sunday in Lent, February 18. Congregations also may observe a special service on any Sunday in Lent or at a more convenient time during the year. “In this time of spiritual renewal, Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday is an opportunity for Episcopalians to pray for and act on behalf of the most vulnerable among us,” said Rob Radtke, President of Episcopal Relief & Development. “We are grateful to our friends and donors for helping us make a positive and tangible impact in our partnerships with families and communities around the world.”

2018 Listen Community Dinners – Our first Listen dinner is on Wednesday, January 31. Thank you to everyone who signed up last week to prepare and serve food for the January 31st Listen Dinner – we are all set! The remaining Listen Dinner are all Mondays: March 19th, May 21th, July 16th, September 17th (meal will be planned by Barwood Family), and November 19th.
Contemplative Prayer and Meditation- is 1st and 3rd Wednesday 5:30-6:30. With cold nights, we can take time wherever we are to Pray and Meditate. Time to speak to God and listen to God in silence or out loud.

Aging with Dignity Course – Facilitator Training - There was interest at St. Paul's from some, to be trained as a facilitator for conducting the UVIP course entitled "Useful Tools for Aging with Dignity"
