O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Summer Lunch Thank You
It is hard to know where to begin!  It was another successful week of making lunches thanks to so many at St. Paul's.  We made and delivered 140 lunches for the week.  Our lunches were met very enthusiastically by the children and were rated "the best"!
It wouldn't have happened without so many of you donating food, money and giving time in the kitchen.  We had as many as 15 folks helping in the kitchen, a new record for sure. In the kitchen there was the work of making the sandwiches, but also much laughter and fellowship.  I hope everyone knows how much I appreciate all that this church does year after year to make this program work. I am so happy we are involved with this ecumenical effort to make sure these children receive a nourishing lunch throughout the summer months.  Barb Coulter

Board Games Needed
We received an email this week from Kylie Edwards, the AmeriCorps volunteer, who was in charge of the Summer Lunch Program. Kylie is asking if St. Paul’s might be interested in donating board games to the community center for the youth in our community.
This project is designed to bring people of all ages together and have a beneficial effect on the entire community. If you are interested in donating games or money toward the purchase of these games please contact Barb Coulter.
Desired Games:  Mancala, UNO, Apples to Apples, Life, Head Bandz, Taboo, Clue, Sorry, Ticket to Ride, Pictionary, Candyland, Trouble, deck of cards.
Thank you for your generosity!

Listen Community Dinner
Our meal July 20th was a big hit thanks to everyone who provided summer salads, ice cream, and especially those who helped in the kitchen. Serving a cold meal kept the temperature down with time to relax, which is rare serving dinners. All dishes used for the dinner July 20th are in the church kitchen. A big THANK YOU for your help serving a successful meal!
Our next meal will be August 10th.  We will serve four summer salads, so we need three each of bean and pasta salads; four each of potato and taco salad. One salad serving ten. For dessert, we will serve fifty Klondike Bars and fifty Ice cream sandwiches.  A sign-up sheet will be posted by Sunday.

St Paul's 25cent Clothing Sale
On August 22nd from 9am - 12 pm, St Paul's will be holding a special clothing sale in the Parish House where all items are 25cents.  This will make clothing purchases affordable to all.
Please set aside any items for the sale to be brought to the Parish Hall the week before the sale. Young children's clothing would be most welcome to help families get outfitted for the 'coming' school year.
We will also need help the week prior to 8/22 to sort donations and setup for a successful sale.
thank you, Marge
