O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Here are this week's announcements:

"Finding God in the Dirt" this Saturday, Sept. 27th
This Saturday, September 27, 2014 is "Finding God in the Dirt" day at St. Paul's.

Starting at 9 am there will be GARDENING: Pruning hedges, weeding, dividing perennials
(and potting some for sale) and some bulb planting.  Even if you don't consider yourself an experienced gardener there are tasks and fellowship you can join. If you have favorite tools you can bring them, but there will be tools on hand tool.

Ann Jenisch will be there from 9-3 and you can plug in any time.  And there will be SETTING OF GRANITE CURBING: taking out the rotted wood border along the parking lot and setting pieces of donated granite that have been sitting on the pavement.  Jon Chaffee hopes to finish this between 9 and noon.  Digging a trench, rolling in the rock, propping it in place and literally pounding sand underneath;  pry bars and no heavy lifting.  All you need to bring is gloves.

Volunteer opportunity (from Jennifer Fontaine at the Haven)
Stagecoach has been providing community transportation to Orange and northern Windsor counties since 1976. Their goal is to enhance transportation choices that promote economic development, energy conservations, mobility independence, and quality of life. Stagecoach is looking for volunteer drivers in the Upper Valley to provide transportation to community members in need.

The Haven is supporting this initiative as we recognize the vital need for transportation to those who use our services and all of our community neighbors. I hope you will share the attached brochure and information about the Volunteer Driver Program at Stagecoach with your congregations. If you have any questions, please contact Stagecoach directly at 802-728-3773.
