Amen.

Next Week (9/7): One service at 9am, followed by parish meeting and lunch!
Next week, September 7th, will be our final week with a single service at 9am. It'll be followed by one of our quarterly checkin meetings. This one will be particularly interesting: the Ministry Discernment Committee has published its responses to the 12 questions that will describe St. Paul's to potential Rector candidates. What a great gift to St. Paul's – a group of your fellow parishioners has met for almost a year and a half, spending many, many hours to think about and pray about the nature and calling of this community, and now they've distilled that effort into these 12 short essays. We'll discuss those answers at this meeting. This is your opportunity to engage with these essays and with your vision and dreams for this parish. Please join us. We'll also have updates on the upcoming retreat, finances, and other things. And sandwiches!

Altar Flowers (from Barb Coulter and the Altar Guild)
There are several weeks open to share flowers on the Altar. Perhaps your garden is overflowing?! If you would like to donate an arrangement from your garden that would be wonderful! Please let me or any member of the Altar Guild know what week and we can let the florist know not to deliver that Sunday. Even if you're not a flower gardener, flowers for the Altar are a wonderful way to honor, celebrate or remember loved ones. There is a beautiful flower chart for the year in the hallway, please stop by and see if there is a Sunday you would like to sign up for. If there are any questions please feel free to ask.

The Alleluia Golf Tournament, Saturday, September 13th (from Stew Wood)|
Golfers, craft your foursomes for the third annual Alleluia Golf Tournament at the Basin Harbor Club outside of Vergennes, VT on Saturday, September 13th. This fun event in which St. Paul's teams have done so well supports the programming life of the Diocese of Vermont.
The course is fun, with very little water to worry you and no hills to climb. Box lunches nourish us as we compete, a great dinner awaits us when we're finished, and lots of prizes are there to be awarded the participants.
Let Stew Wood know of your intention to play. We can car pool to make the trip easier for all of us.
