Summary of the Vestry Meeting
July 8, 2014
Note: This meeting was short and held a week early because the Vestry met for the first hour with the Ministry Discernment Committee and Governance Committee.
There are no Financials because was too early in the month, but Kristin reported that Bargain Bin Income stands at $25,281.84 and expenses at $1,976.80 for a net of $23,308.04
The Vestry voted unanimously to commission Andrew to proceed with purchasing and having equipment installed for the new hot water heater.
Bev and Katy Chaffee will lead planning for the Parish Retreat and will invite others to join them during future services
Jon and Mark will research the history of St. Paul’s in preparation for our 50th anniversary.
In August, one of the services will be held at Judy Barwood’s farm.
There will be a series of meetings planned as a resource for parishioners called “Aging in Place” that will discuss the end of life and planning for it.
Jean Chambers has offered her grand piano to the church and the Vestry has agreed to provide the initial funds for moving it. Parish members have offered to reimburse these funds.
Next Meeting
The Vestry will hold its next meeting on August 19, 2014 at 6:30 PM in the Parish House.
