Summer Lunch Program
June 23rd-27th

St. Paul's will once again be participating in the summer lunch program.  Many area churches volunteer to provide lunches for the children at the Northwoods and Hollow Dr. residences.  This year we will be making 35 lunches a day for the week of June 23rd-27th.

There are plenty of ways to be involved that don't require a huge commitment of time.  We will need food donations or monetary donations to purchase the food for the lunches and help daily preparing them.  If you want to help make the lunches we meet each day at 10:30 am and it takes about an hour to prepare them.

Please consider volunteering to help!  There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board for food donations and volunteering.   We need all food or monetary donations by June 22nd.  It is always a fun way to give back to our local community and our lunches are always a big hit with the children.  Thank you so much for your help.

Prayer, Healing, Pastoral Care teams meeting 6/18 from 5:30-7

All members of the Prayer, Healing and Pastoral Care teams are invited to a meeting to gather our thoughts and share ideas: what is our mission, how are we doing now, and how might we do better as we move forward? The meeting is next Wednesday, June 18th, from 5:30-7 in the Parish House.

Bargain Bin “Learnings” meeting

The following was sent to the chairpeople of the various bins in this year's Bargain Bin, but all who have feedback to share are invited.

We did it! This amazing Bargain Bin could not have happened without each of you taking total responsibility for making your area work. No-one else knew how to do that. Certainly not Jon and Pete. Mark preached about it demonstrating a "body" where all parts are needed for it to live. I was aware of people making extraordinary physical effort lightheartedly, still laughing and joking. Athletes talk about being in the "Zone", being so unquestioningly committed to the activity that it flows almost under unconscious control, passing in a seeming split second, while you are able to be flexible, change direction, and sort of float. Others can sense it and get into the spirit. People who came to the Bargain Bin could tell and commented that we seemed to be having a good time. Which doesn't mean you aren't very tired and pay later!

So we should capture learnings from this year. We scheduled an hour on Tuesday, June 24, at 6:30, in the fellowship hall of the church to share what went well that we should try again, and what could be improved on for next year. We will have summer drinks and cookies. If you can't come please email your reflections.

And thank you, thank you, every one. And thank you God. And Werner's family. So many blessings.
