Sharing our Past, Seeking our Future II
A Ministry Discernment Committee (MDC) Listening Event
Saturday, March 15, 2014
Potluck at 5:00pm with meeting and discussion 6:00 - 8:00pm
An all-parish gathering to learn from one another:
~ What three words describe St. Paul's for you?
~ Why are you here at St. Paul's? What are you seeking, and are you finding it?
~ What do you think God is calling St. Paul's to do?
In the Ministry Discernment Committee's first event last December, we created a timeline of significant events in our past fifty years that told us quite a bit about how St. Paul's identifies itself. In this gathering we will explore what St. Paul's offers, how well that meets parishioners' needs, and what purpose our parish is being called to serve in God's plan. This is all a necessary part of the search process to find the best match of strengths, style, and interests for St. Paul's new rector.
This close-to-St. Patrick's Day potluck revives a St. Paul's tradition from years past. A sign-up sheet is posted in the Parish Hall so that we can have some idea of how many are planning to attend. In keeping with tradition it will be a true "pot luck." Child care will be provided.
Talk with any member of the MDC if you have questions about this event or at any time if you have thoughts you'd like to share.
